guess what time it is?! it is time for one of my favorite posts each season, my adventure series. sometimes the hustle and bustle of life gets us a little dazed and confused but by spicing your life up with some adventures it will truly make a difference. it is so exciting to take a look at the next few months and plan something fun, something that you can look forward to. an adventure does not need to be big by any means, as you will see below, an adventure is what you make it, just like life is what you make it (sorry major run-on)!
i don’t know about you but when fall arrives i just want to enjoy coffee with friends, talk around a campfire and do not even get me started on football. i love it and sometimes we could just stop time while we are cuddled under a big blanket watching a movie. don’t you feel the same way? here are a few fall adventures that i will be trying out this fall
Host a bonfire | this is on my list every single fall. there is nothing better than roasting marshmellows and chatting with all of your friends around a fire. i mean c’mon. this fall i want to try to host one, i cannot make any promises because our backyard is a little bit of a jungle right now. but host a bonfire this fall, i bet you will end up loving it and so will your guests. you could even have a themed bonfire, like everyone has to wear their favorite flannel or if you have a projector throw a movie up (dream scenario right there) | Picture from here
Drive-in Movie | it may be the old soul in me but i have been wanting to go to a drive-in for what feel like forever and when would be a more perfect time than fall? here are your directions: bundle up and snuggle under a bunch of warm blankets, bring some hot cider or hot cocoa and then just enjoy. voila, easy as that! there is something so romantic (as cheesy as that sounds) and fun about a drive-in. i have already started looking up drive-ins in my area | Picture from here
Stay-cation | this is a big one! i talked about rest two weeks ago in my cheers to monday post and this fall i am really going to try to take advantage of this. in that same post i talked about a mountain getaway and that is what inspired this adventure. if you live close to the mountains go there for a night or even the day. wake up, go the a local cafe, hike and just take in the beauty. if you do not live close to the mountain take a weekend to have a stay-cation, you can stay in your home or go stay in a hotel for the night but go enjoy your city. take the time to walk around and try some new restaurants or coffee shops that have been on your list. treat it like it’s a vacation!
Pumpkin (fall) Beer Hunt | this is one that i absolutely cannot wait to try. i have actually only recently become a beer fan and let me tell you it took a long time. i am still more of a wine or cocktail girl but i do love a pumpkin beer. so there are a few ways you can do this. first, if you have breweries in your area hop from place to place trying their fall brews or if you do not live by any breweries just go to your favorite bars, i guarantee that they have fall beers on draft. get your friends together and choose where you want to go then get some to share at each place or do a flight and share it! this will help save money and stop you from drinking too much. make sure you also are drinking lots of water and eat your favorite burger to breakup the drinking (throwing you a little curveball). you also do not have to do this with beer you could do it with a fall latte or sweets | picture from here
i hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as i enjoyed writing it! what adventures are you going on this fall? i would love to hear your ideas!
