Hi and happy Monday! Thanks so much for stopping by Life + Be. I am so sorry it’s been so long since i’ve done an outfit post. But I have tons of exciting content coming to you very soon (full of fun coats, cute scarves and so much more) so get stoked because I sure am!
Anyone else live in NC? Mother Nature isn’t quite agreeing with the time of year so we are still having 60 degree days. I will be real with you for a second and say I don’t actually hate it. I know take away my basic white girl card away. First of all, fall is by far my favorite time of year but I kind of like an excuse to wear those skirts and dresses that I didn’t get to this summer. It is also fun to mix up some of my favorite summer pieces with a leather jacker or blanket scarf.
This summer I was on a major overall dress (jumper?) hunt. I ended up ordering one from Urban Outfitters and couldn’t love it more. I have worn it on repeat and actually wore it a few weeks ago to coffee with a friend. Unfortunately this exact one is sold out but this one is almost identical. I’m gonna be completely honest with you though, I could not jump on the overall at first. I just couldn’t find a fit I loved and all of them were WAY too short. Hello floods. But this denim jumper was the perfect compromise and if you’ve been reading Life + Be long enough then you’ll know that I love a good dress or skirt. Thank goodness for this blanket scarf to help keep my overall craze alive.
Now let’s talk blanket scarves. They’ve been around for a few seasons now and goodness, they may just be my favorite accessory this fall. They are the perfect piece to easily transform our summery pieces to fall and winter. Because let’s be real for a second, no one wants to buy a full new wardrobe every season. So when I can carry summer pieces to fall and winter, I’m a happy lady. They also are great layering pieces under coats to not only add a bit of warmth but also add some texture to your look. I was in Madewell last week and saw this cute little blanket scarf. How cute would that be under your leather jacket or a trench coat? Or how about for the holidays? Pair it with your favorite black sweater for Christmas
