Well hello and happy Hump day to you! Today I am here to share my next travel diary from our Europe adventure. It’s all about our time spent in Liverpool and Manchester. If you missed my London travel diary you should definitely check it out here! London was such a wonderful time and we crammed so much into those few days but as I was looking back at my journal and writing this, I realized how relaxed this next part of our trip was. Though I am forever grateful for this time, I feel like there is not a whole lot to say! We ate a lot, explored & had some amazing quality time
Day 4 -6 – Liverpool
Liverpool sure was dreamy and exactly what we needed! Isn’t it funny how God has a way of making that happen? From the go go go London culture it was a nice break to visit Adam and his family for a few days. Adam picked us up from the train station and you guys, from then on he and his family were the absolute best hosts. We started the day heading to his house and having tea and biscuits with his Dad and him. It was so fun meeting his parents. They are too funny and gosh I cannot get over all of their accents!
While we were in Liverpool we explored the city (it is equally beautiful and fun), met tons of his friends, and Adam even cooked us a full english breakfast. Our last night in Liverpool went down in the books when we had wine and cheese on his back porch. Our friend Ben came over and Adam’s parents and sisters joined us. It was absolutely incredible from the conversations, to the wine, to the beautiful weather. Gosh, I am still so grateful for moments like this one!
Day 6 – Manchester
Adam drove us to Manchester to see one of Adam and Katie’s camp friends, Harry. My goodness it was fun time and honestly feels like whirlwind since we were only there one day. We met up with Harry and then were off to explore Manchester. It is an interesting city to say the least. It is full of character and so many cool areas. It’s also a big college town so it was cool to see a big University there as well as their ‘college town.’
Harry was the best tour guide making sure we saw all of the street art (all the heart eyes) and we met his beautiful girlfriend Rad. Ok y’all, Harry and Rad are the most beautiful, cool couple that I have ever met. I may or may not have a major girlcrush on Rad! That night after grabbing drinks we stayed at Rad’s and then woke up the next morning and headed back to Liverpool where we caught our train to Edinburgh!
Come back tomorrow to read about my favorite city, Edinburgh! Thank you so much for stopping by and I could not be more excited to share the rest of our journey with y’all!
