Floral DIY (easy as 1,2,3)

Happiest Tuesday! Today I have something a little different to share with you and it is my first ever DIY! If you saw my office reveal (read it here) from last week then you already saw what I am about to share!

I saw floral letters at a wedding a few months ago and fell in love however when I started online shopping for some they were all outrageously priced (anything floral is) so I decided I should try to make them and I am so glad I did!  It is super easy and so fun. It was nice putting on some harry potter and instead of being on my computer or phone just crafting for a few hours! Without further ado let’s get started:

What you will need:

  • 2 cardboard boxes broken down
  • pencil
  • box cutter
  • wire cutters
  • hot glue gun
  • 10-15 fake flower bunches (it takes a lot)

To start, break down the boxed and lie flat. Then use your pencil or buy a stencil and trace the letters onto cardboard. If you are free handing use a ruler to make sure all of your letters are the same heigh and width. Also, do not place the cardboard directly on floor or table because it will scratch when you cut. Cute out your letters and set them aside!

Now plug in the hot glue gun to warm up and start cutting the flower blooms off of the stem. Then have at it! I positioned the bigger flowers first evenly through my letters then randomly glued on the little buds.

It is super easy and truly adds to the room! Enjoy!
