Quick Thoughts, Mar 6

Happy Monday to you! I hope your weekend was amazing and restful (as well as filled with some great food — can’t forget that). My weekend was really great. Friday was pretty low-key; sushi with the girls and finished with a cocktail at home. Then Saturday started with a little small group brunch full of Jesus + life talks and finished at a local vineyard with some of my favorite ladies. Sunday was the perfect ending to a great weekend. It was spent with a house church (what the what, I could get used to that) then brunch with Katie. Goodness, I am so thankful for weekends like this one. It’s amazing how a great weekend can really set you up for the week.

Now onto some quick thoughts and finds!

Like I said above, Saturday I visited a local vineyard and could not have more great things to say about it. If you are local to North or South Carolina, choose a weekend and head to Treehouse Vineyards ASAP. It is a family run vineyard in Monroe, NC. They have an amazing tasting but my favorite part has to be a tie between the loads of rocking chairs looking over the vineyard and the 3 treehouses you can rent!

This week I get to see two of my favorite bands and I could not be more stoked.  For those of you haven’t heard Head and The Heart’s new album, Signs of Light, go check it out. It came out in the fall but goodness it is amazing.  Then, Colony House. Just go listen to their new album, Only the Lonely, which was just last month. It is my jam as of lately! Both of these albums are on repeat and definitely deserve a listen

For Christmas I got Ashely Christensen’s cookbook, Poole’s: Recipes and Stores from a Modern Diner, and I could not love it more. Within the first week of having it, I made the Homemade Mac and Cheese and it was definitely a hit. But the book itself is just beautiful. If you have ever been to one of her restaurants then you surely know just how detailed and lively they are, well the cookbook is just the same. So if you are in a cooking rut or love a good cookbook this is for you!

I love a good etsy shop! There is something about goods created from passion and hard work that just makes me giddy. I follow Jazmin on instagram and goodness I love her work. I have already ordered this mug and don’t you love this idea of tiny little reminders? Couldn’t we all use some fresh reminders?

Thank you so much for reading! If you missed one of my favorite Charlotte spots and my go to outfit make sure to read it here and I’ll be back this week with some exciting posts!
