My adventure series is all about the little adventures anyone can do to just learn to find joy in the little things and take a break from the hustle and bustle of life as we know it. So today I get to share with you my adventures for winter and if I am being honest this is always my favorite time of the season. I love these posts!
Winter is a hard one to conquer because January blues are real! The holidays are over and the temps outside are absolutely frigid but here are some adventures to brighten up your life over the next few months!
Movie Marathon // This is one I cannot wait to try. Throw a movie marathon day and invite all of your friends. You can choose a theme, like harry potter or rom-coms! Then make sure everyone knows pajamas (or sweats) are required and everyone must bring their favorite movie snack to share. Pile all of your pillows and blankets on the floor and voila! // image from here
Host a Galentines (or dinner party) // Even if you have a date throw a little valentines celebration! We are having ours the Friday before Valentines and I could not be more excited! This is the perfect way to keep your mind off of the winter months and enjoy time with your gals! You could have a fun night full of cocktails and treats or even host a spa night at your house. Everyone can create a face mask and do a massage train. If valentines aren’t for you, host a fancy dinner party full of 3-course meals and champagne toasts (p.s. Trader Joe’s has the best $5 champagne, you’re welcome) // image from here
Cocoa Hunt (or warm cocktail) // What better way to warm up than with a delicious cup of hot cocoa?! Every city, no matter where you are, has amazing little coffee shops and cafes so go check them out. I also guarantee that they have some warm drink specials that will surely get you excited and maybe even a warm cookie to go with it! // image from here
Check out your Local Museum // Have you been to a museum in your city? Do you know that most are free or if they aren’t they have nights in which they are free! So go check them out even if you are not the least bit interested in art or history just go to walk around and stay warm. It’s a great way to just spend some quality time with your friends or significant other. One museum in Raleigh does free concerts during the winter months, how cool is that? // image from here
What adventures do you have planned for winter?! I would love to hear!
